About Impanuro Girls Initiative (IGI)
Impanuro Gils Initiative (IGI) is a young women led non-profit organization operating in Rwanda since 2017, striving to improve women and girls lives through education, capacity building, counseling, socio economic empowerment and advocacy to ensure a health and dignified lifestyle.
Impanuro Girls Initiative (IGI) invites applications for the position of Programs Lead. The role focuses on overseeing the effective implementation and performance of IGI’s programs, contributing to improved outcomes for girls and women with compounded vulnerabilities.
Role summary
The Programs Lead is responsible for providing strategic leadership, coordination, and oversight of all IGI programs. The role ensures that programs are effectively designed, implemented, monitored, and aligned with IGI’s mission, feminist leadership principles, and donor requirements.
The Programs Lead plays a critical role in strengthening program quality, ensuring accountability, mobilizing resources, and leading a high-performing team. The position also supports learning, innovation, and sustainability across all programmatic interventions.

Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s degree in Gender studies, Development Studies, Public Health, Economic and Entrepreneurship Studies
- Have a minimum of 8 years of experience in program management within NGOs or development organizations.
- Proven experience in leading teams and managing multi-sectoral programs.
- Strong experience in MEAL systems and data-driven decision-making.
- Demonstrated experience in fundraising and proposal development.
- Strong leadership, coordination, and strategic thinking skills.
- Excellent communication skills in English and Kinyarwanda (French is an added advantage).
