About Impanuro Girls Initiative (IGI)
IMPA-NU-RO is a Kinyarwanda word that translates as “good advice” or “guidance” Impanuro Girls’ Initiative (IGI) is a young women led national non-governmental organization legally registered and authorized to operate in Rwanda. As a nonprofit organization, IGI fosters women empowerment and builds girls agency with a registration number of N° 763/RGB/NGO/LP/11/2021 issued by the Rwanda Governance Board (RGB).
The founder of the organization was determined to address the teenage pregnancy issues as a result of poor or no access to Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) information and services among others.

Job Summary
The Entrepreneurship Consultant will deliver 1 Month practical, hands-on lessons to IGI Ruhango Tekana Hub participants. Your goal is to help participants turn technical skills (like tailoring, hairdressing, or leathercrafting, e-commerce, digital marketing, digital payments) into self-reliant businesses or freelance careers.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach business basics using active, project-based lessons.
- Preparation of lesson plans, assessments and training reports
- Train participants to use accessible technology, such as mobile money apps and social media for basic marketing.
- Help participants build real business plans and financial budgets.
- Foster a growth mindset to help participants overcome trauma or generational poverty mindsets.
- Help participants launch hyper-local business ideas that require little to no startup capital.
- Instruct local tax laws, business registration and bookkeeping.
- Translate academic business jargon into simple, universal language.
- Teach market research and low-cost digital marketing.
- Teach participants how to reuse materials and leverage existing community resources.
- Connect participants with local mentors, banks and business incubators.
- Grade participants through business pitches and practical presentations.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications
- Education: Degree or Diploma in Business, Entrepreneurship, Economics, Agribusiness, Commerce and Development studies.
- Certification: TVET teacher certification or pedagogical training.
- Experience: 2–3 years running a small business or consulting with MSMEs.
- Skills: Knowledge of Rwandan business laws, microlending, and digital tools.
Languages: Fluent in Kinyarwanda and English
